I've been a journalist for over 22 years and also been in corporate communication for 2 years.i run my own content writing and editing company. I'm both a career counsellor and a psychological counselor. 

The first article I wrote when I was merely a student of journalism and mass communication was on career counselling and the big gap that remains unbridged and untapped. I took help from psychologists whom I knew at that time (I had psychology as one of my subjects in my graduation course), and wrioe that article. 

I believe there is massive need for career counseling for young students and their parents who are clueless about what the students should do next and the skills they require for it. Even working professionals need these days because they weren't able to make the right decisions when they had to. Parents may not always understand their children's needs or wishes or even grasp the extent of their abilities.

That's why career counseling is a must for all.
