ADMISSION PROCESS OF DTE MAHARASHTRA

DTE follows a rigorous process for diploma admission, where it has recently introduced four phases of the Centralised Admission Process, CAP.

Candidates must follow the steps below to register for the diploma course.

  1. Candidates must visit the official website of DTE, Maharashtra.
  2. Register as a candidate under the admission option (based on their preference, the candidates can choose whether to opt for a Diploma after 10th or after 12th.
  3. Upload the required documents and fee payment.

The four-step admission process has been introduced to ensure that the candidates do not block seats.

  • In the first round, if a candidate is allotted a seat in their first preference college, s/he must pay the fee and confirm their admission.
  • In the second round, if a candidate is allotted a seat in any of the 3 top preference colleges, s/he must confirm their admission.
  • In the third round, if a candidate is allotted a seat in any of the top 6 preference colleges, s/he must confirm their admission.
  • After the third round, if candidates fail to confirm admission, their allotted seat would be removed, and admission would be canceled.
  • In the fourth round, candidates who have not been allotted seats would be allocated one. This is to ensure that all the candidates have equal opportunity of quality education.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND FEES

Candidates enrolling for the DTE Diploma course must pass their SSC level education or grade 10th with a 35% minimum. For Diploma courses available after 12th, students must complete their schooling till grade 12th, before applying. Students from other states can also apply, but the seats reserved for other states candidates are less in comparison to those reserved for Maharashtrian students.

The candidates, while applying for the diploma course, have to pay some amount as a registration fee. Candidates from the general category have to pay approximately Rs 400 while those from reserved categories have to pay approximately Rs 300.
