Jai Hind College Course Admissions Process

The admission process in Jai Hind College follows the typical ways. It is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, so it will be treated as a government college for the most part. It is also autonomous, so it has the absolute authority to decide its own admission process. Still, JHC Mumbai decided to keep it simple, and have a small barrier to entry for students. Unlike the top private institutes who always have a stricter system of enrollment. Regardless, here’s what you need to know about the Jai Hind College admission process:

Pre-admission phase

This is where the mandatory online form filling happens. Most students can easily figure this part out, and in case they cannot, the online form-filling shops are always there. All they essentially do is:

  • Open the Jaihind radical forms website, and fill in the required information of the student.
  • The documents like Aadhar card, mark sheets, Termination Certificates, and so on are uploaded in the Xerox form.
  • And finally, the student will get an OTP. This part may happen multiple times, so be patient.
  • In the end, they will get their printouts, which they later need to submit to the college.

Remember that this stage includes University of Mumbai admission and Jai Hind admission at once. You are essentially filling out the form for two colleges. Make sure it goes without a hunch, or the entire admissions process will be terminated if the database from the University of Mumbai doesn’t match with Jai Hind College.

Mid-admission phase

This is where the self-financed program students will perform their entrance exam. Here are all the programs eligible for entrance exams in short form: BAF, BBI, BFM, BMM, BDS, BIA, and BAQF. The entrance exam will be known as Jai Hind College Common Entrance Exam or JHC-CEE for short. And usually, students who do not enroll in self-financed programs will never know about this stage. So if you are one of them, skip this phase and move to the final one.

Final-admission phase

This is the final stage which happens offline. All students will be asked to visit the college in a particular timeframe. Like commerce may have a different date assigned than arts and the same goes for Undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Still don’t worry, this part will be clearly mentioned in the sms that you will receive from the college and the same goes for the email. Anyways, this offline phase will fulfill two things in particular:

  • Merit List Declaration: This is the final check of the Mid-admission phase, afterwards they will perform the second action listed below.
  • Document Verification & Fee Payment: Final checks of your documents will be verified, and you will be asked to pay your admission fee.
