A clinical hypnotherapist uses guided hypnosis, usually combined with talk-based techniques, to help clients change habits, manage anxiety, cope with some kinds of pain and work through specific concerns. The work is done one-to-one, in clinics or online, within a structured assessment and session plan.
Clinical hypnotherapy is a specialised method usually added to a base qualification rather than a standalone degree. We could not confirm from our current research whether India has a single statutory licence for hypnotherapy, so the training provider's recognition and the practitioner's base qualification matter a great deal.
This page explains the typical route, the rules to check and the hard parts of the work. Where we have not verified a fact, such as fees, salary or named institutes, we say so rather than guess.
