arham ansari

If you are choosing a B.Com at a Delhi University (DU) college, you probably have three questions: which colleges are the best, what they cost, and how placements look. Here is the honest short answer. As of 5 November 2026, DU has not published 2027 cutoffs, fees or placement figures, so this guide uses the latest 2026 figures we could find and marks everything about 2027 as an estimate.
On the 2026 numbers, Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) had the highest B.Com (Hons) cutoff we could verify, at 923.84 in Round 1. Hindu College followed at 919.87. Where we could not confirm a number, we show a labelled estimate, so please treat those as rough guides. The best college for you still depends on your score, your category, your career goal and your budget.
Best commerce colleges in Delhi at a glance
Here are ten colleges at a glance. A cutoff marked verified comes from a published round-wise source. A cutoff marked estimate is a rough range based on the tier a college sits in, not an official number.

|---|---|---|---|
| Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) | #1 in The Week 2026 and India Today 2026 commerce lists | 923.84 (Round 1, verified) | Highest verified cutoff |
| Hindu College | #1 in NIRF 2025 (college category) | 919.87 (Round 1, verified) | |
| Hansraj College | #3 in NIRF 2025 | About 880 to 900 (estimate) | Round-wise figure not confirmed |

| Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College | #7 in NIRF 2025 | About 860 to 900 (estimate) | |
| Sri Venkateswara College | #11 in NIRF 2025 | About 860 to 900 (estimate) | |
| Ramjas College | Not in our ranking sources | About 880 to 900 (estimate) | |
| Daulat Ram College | Not in our ranking sources | 852.02 (Round 2, B.Com, verified) | B.Com, not Hons |
| Shaheed Bhagat Singh College | Not in our ranking sources | 836.8 (Round 1, B.Com Hons, provisional) | Confirm on the DU file |
Some national lists also include colleges outside Delhi, so we have left those out. Estimates are planning ranges, not official figures. Cutoffs also differ by category, so check the round-wise file for your own category.
How we ranked these colleges
We did not create our own score. We used three published lists: NIRF 2025 for the overall college category, as listed by Eduvouchers, and the 2026 commerce rankings from The Week and India Today, as compiled by Shiksha. Where sources disagree, we show both rather than picking one.
Collegedunia’s “CD Score” is its own index, so we did not use it as a ranking. Rankings also measure different things, so treat them as a starting point, not a final verdict.
Top commerce colleges in Delhi: fees, cutoffs and placements
We have verified data for only a few colleges so far. For each one, we show the cutoff, fee and placement figures we could confirm, and we say clearly where a number is an estimate or missing. Fees change every year, so check the college’s official prospectus before you rely on any figure here.
Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC)
SRCC is the name most students search first, and the numbers explain why. Its 2026 Round 1 cutoff for B.Com (Hons) was 923.84, and its Round 2 cutoff was 916.97, based on the round-wise figures we checked. Some pages round the Round 1 figure to 924, so always check which round a number belongs to on the DU CSAS portal.
Fees: Collegedunia lists a total B.Com (Hons) fee of ₹1,25,080, while Spinon estimates ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 per year for 2026-27. One tuition listing shows about ₹38,880 for the first year. These figures don’t match, so confirm them with the college.
Placements: CollegeDekho’s SRCC placement page shows a 2025 highest package of ₹36 LPA, an average of ₹9.9 LPA and a median of ₹7.7 LPA. Shiksha’s 2026 page reports a highest package of ₹36.25 LPA and an average of ₹13.79 LPA, while another Shiksha page gives ₹11.18 LPA. Placement data is self-reported, and a high average can hide a much lower median, so look at both.
Collegedunia also reports that SRCC’s 2024-25 season saw more than 520 offers from over 135 recruiters.
Hindu College
Hindu College ranked first overall in the NIRF 2025 college category and fourth in The Week’s 2026 commerce list. Its 2026 Round 1 B.Com (Hons) cutoff was 919.87, according to PW Live. Spinon lists a fee of ₹26.87K, and one tuition listing shows ₹18,260, but the period and source differ. We have not verified placement data for the college.
Hansraj College
Hansraj ranked third in NIRF 2025 and fifth in The Week’s 2026 commerce list. We have not yet confirmed its 2026 round-wise B.Com (Hons) cutoff, so the table shows an estimate of about 880 to 900. Spinon lists a fee of ₹31.44K with no clear period, and we have no verified placement data.
Ramjas College
We have not yet confirmed Ramjas’s 2026 round-wise cutoff, so the table shows an estimate of about 880 to 900 for B.Com (Hons). One tuition listing shows ₹11,490, but its period is unclear. We have not verified its placements, so check the latest DU round file before you plan around this college.
Daulat Ram College
Daulat Ram’s Round 2 B.Com cutoff in 2026 was 852.02, per PW Live’s round 2 page. We have not verified its fees or placement data yet.
Shaheed Bhagat Singh College
A third-party page reports a Round 1 B.Com (Hons) cutoff of 836.8 and a Round 1 B.Com cutoff of 820.1, both drawn from DU’s cutoff data. We are still checking these against the official DU file, so please treat the figures as provisional.
Delhi College of Arts and Commerce
Collegedunia’s list gives a total B.Com fee of ₹40,200. We have not yet verified its cutoff or placement data.
Other ranked colleges we are still verifying
Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Kirori Mal College, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College and Sri Venkateswara College all appear in our ranking sources. We have not confirmed their 2026 round-wise cutoffs, so the table shows estimates only. Their fees and placement figures are also still open, so check them on the DU round-wise file and each college’s own notices.
Government vs private colleges: fee comparison
Most colleges in this guide are Delhi University colleges, which are publicly funded. We did not find reliable 2026 fee data for private commerce colleges in Delhi NCR, so that row stays open rather than guessed.
| Type | College | Fee figure we found | What to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Public (DU) | SRCC | ₹1,25,080 total (Collegedunia); ₹35,000 to ₹40,000 per year (Spinon) | Sources disagree |
| Public (DU) | Hindu College | ₹26.87K (Spinon) | Period not stated |
| Public (DU) | Hansraj College | ₹31.44K (Spinon) | Period not stated |
| Public (DU) | Delhi College of Arts and Commerce | ₹40,200 total (Collegedunia) | Confirm on the college site |
| Public (DU) | DU B.Com (general course total) | ₹21,390 total, ₹7,130 in the first year (Collegedunia) | Page needs checking against DU’s fee notice |
| Private | Private commerce colleges in Delhi NCR | Not verified | Check the college’s official fee notice |
The figures in this table mix per-year and whole-course amounts. Compare the total course fee, not just the first year, before you decide.
Entrance exams you need for DU commerce
For undergraduate admissions at DU, CUET UG is the exam to know. In the 2026 cycle, the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) allotted more than 70,000 undergraduate seats across 65+ DU colleges, and the CUET score was the only factor for admission. You must also choose the CUET subjects you studied in Class 12 to meet DU’s eligibility rules.
CUET UG 2026 opened for notification and registration on 3 January 2026. The exam ran from 11 to 31 May and on 6 and 7 June, and results came out on 23 June 2026, according to Toprankers. The last date was extended.
CUET UG 2027 is not confirmed yet. As of 5 November 2026, the sources we checked do not show an official notification, and predictions range from November 2026 to January 2027. A Drishti CUET report says NTA is reviewing changes such as fewer questions, shorter papers and a single-day exam, but none is confirmed. Check the NTA CUET UG website before you plan.
How to read a DU cutoff. CSAS cutoffs are based on CUET scores out of 1,000, and they change round by round. Category cutoffs for OBC, SC, ST and EWS are different, so check the official DU round-wise file for your category. Eligibility percentages also differ between sources, so confirm DU’s minimum criteria before you apply.
Admission timeline: 2026 cycle and what to expect in 2027
The table shows the 2026 dates we could confirm, next to what is expected for 2027. Round dates come from Collegedunia’s DU cutoff page. Expected dates are projections, not official announcements.
| Stage | 2026 (confirmed) | 2027 (expected) |
|---|---|---|
| CUET UG notification | 3 January 2026 | Not confirmed yet |
| CUET UG exam | 11 to 31 May and 6 to 7 June 2026 | Tentatively May or June 2027 |
| CUET UG result | 23 June 2026 | June or July 2027 |
| CSAS registration | 26 June to 11 July 2026 | Late June or early July 2027 (sources disagree) |
| Round 1 allocation and cutoff | 16 July 2026 | Not announced |
| Round 2 cutoff | 25 July 2026 | Not announced |
| Round 3 cutoff | 9 August 2026 | Not announced |
| Spot round | Applications 23 to 24 August; allocation 25 August 2026 | Not announced |
| Admission end | Not listed | September 2027 (projection) |
Seat allocation moves quickly, and each round has its own fee deadline. In 2026, Round 1 fee payment ran until 21 July, so keep your documents and payment ready before results come out.
Average fees and placement ranges
Across our sources, DU commerce fees run from about ₹27,000 to about ₹1.25 lakh. That range is wide because some figures are per year and others are whole-course totals, and not every source says which. Read each number alongside its source.
Placement is harder to pin down. SRCC is the only college in our research with multi-year data. It shows a highest package of around ₹36 LPA, averages between ₹9.9 LPA and ₹13.79 LPA depending on the report, and medians around ₹7.7 to ₹8.1 LPA. For other colleges we found no reliable figures, so ask each college for its own placement report.
Official DU links for applying, checking cutoffs and policy
For the latest rules, use DU’s own pages rather than third-party summaries.
- How to apply: the DU admission portal carries admission notices and guidance.
- Check cutoffs: the DU CSAS UG portal is where round-wise cutoffs and seat allocation are published.
- Policy and fee notices: the University of Delhi main site has official notices. Check them before you rely on any fee figure.
How to shortlist the right college for you
Don’t start with the name alone. Work through these steps in order.
- Start with your score. Compare your CUET score with the last-round cutoffs for each course, not only Round 1. Cutoffs move each year, so treat the 2026 numbers as a guide.
- Check your category cutoff. A cutoff that looks out of reach may be different for your category.
- Match the course to your goal. If you plan to become a CA, CS or CMA, or work in banking, the course should support that path. Our guides on the scope of commerce courses and CA vs CS vs CMA after 12th can help.
- Think about location and commute. Campus location, travel time and hostel options shape daily life more than most students expect.
- Compare the total cost. Look at the full course fee, not only the first year.
- Read the placement report. Ask how many students were placed, what the median package was and which companies recruited.
If you are still unsure what you want, how to choose the right career in 2026 is a good starting point.
Next step: free career counselling
A cutoff tells you what you might get into. It doesn’t tell you what you will enjoy studying for three years, or which path will suit you afterwards. Your CUET score, category and interests together decide which colleges are realistic, and cutoffs change every year.
If you would like help reading these numbers against your own score, our counsellors can take you through it in detail. You can reach out through our Contact Us page. Frequently Asked Questions
Which is the best commerce college in Delhi?
There is no single answer, but Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) stands out in the data. It ranked first in The Week’s 2026 commerce list and India Today’s 2026 commerce list, and it had the highest 2026 Round 1 B.Com (Hons) cutoff we verified, at 923.84. Hindu College and Hansraj College also rank highly. Your score, course interest and budget should guide the final choice.
What was the SRCC B.Com Hons cutoff in 2026?
Based on the round-wise 2026 figures we checked, SRCC’s B.Com (Hons) cutoff was 923.84 in Round 1 and 916.97 in Round 2, using CUET scores out of 1,000 for the General category. Some pages round the Round 1 figure to 924. Check the official DU round-wise file before you rely on any figure, and note that the 2027 cutoff is not out yet.
Is CUET the only way to get into Delhi University commerce courses?
For the 2026 undergraduate cycle, DU admissions through CSAS were based on CUET UG scores, and the CUET score was the only factor for admission. We have not confirmed whether the same rule will apply in 2027. Check the official DU admission portal and NTA announcements when they are published, and confirm your course eligibility before applying.
When will CUET UG 2027 be conducted?
One source says CUET UG 2027 is tentatively scheduled for May or June 2027, and results are expected around June or July 2027. These dates are not official yet, and as of 5 November 2026 we could not confirm that the 2027 notification has been released. Keep checking the NTA website, and be cautious with dates from unofficial pages until NTA confirms them.
What is the fee for B.Com at Delhi University colleges?
Fees vary widely by college and by source. Our research found figures ranging from about ₹27,000 to ₹1.25 lakh, but some are per year, some are total course fees, and sources disagree. For the most accurate figure, check the official prospectus or fee notice of each college for the year you are applying in.
Should I choose B.Com or B.Com Honours?
Choose based on your score, your interest and your career plan. Honours offers deeper study in commerce subjects, which suits students who are sure they want accounting, economics or finance. The general course may suit students who want more flexibility in subject choices. Check the cutoff for both courses on the DU round-wise file, because they differ.
Is placement guaranteed at SRCC?
No source we checked confirms 100% placement, and no college can guarantee a job. The figures available for SRCC show offers and packages, and Shiksha and CollegeDekho report different averages. Collegedunia reports over 520 offers from 135+ recruiters in 2024-25. Ask for the official placement report and check the median, not only the highest package.
Do I need a career counsellor to choose a college?
You don’t need one, but a counsellor can help you move from a long list of colleges to a decision you feel good about. They can compare your score with realistic options, check course fit with your interests and help you plan for CA, CS, banking or other goals. A short session before you fill in your choices can help you avoid costly mistakes.
Conclusion
Delhi has some of the strongest commerce colleges in the country, but the best one is the one that fits your score, your goals and your budget. Use the 2026 numbers as a guide, watch for official 2027 announcements, and confirm every fee and cutoff with the college or the DU portal before you apply.
